A room setting that uses layers as key frames

To keep the coding minimal layers would work, but the idea is that at any time you can press a button that plays the layers as a gif like animation. I dont mean it plays for everyone its just a view thing like the board select is loading images. A key frame bar would be a step further, a selectable frame rate would be handy. Please take this concept into consideration as a possible fun side project.
